Here’s the Round 13 wrap-up of how all our teams went, including comments from coaches:

12-1 Girls – Adam Gunnis (sponsored by CPR Electrical)

Lost against Rockingham Flames 20-51

Coach comments

  • A strong first game for me coaching this group, with plenty to build on. The girls moved the ball well and looked to reward teammates who sprinted ahead – a great sign of unselfish team play.
  • Their off-ball positioning improved as the game progressed, making it harder for the Flames to find scoring opportunities.
  • This week, our focus will be on finishing at the basket, continuing to find teammates in better positions, and refining our off-ball movement.
  • A big thank you to Kelly Webb for the work she’s done with this group and the foundation she has laid. We wish her all the best in her new work opportunity.

12-2 Girls – Charlize Nicolaou (sponsored by Mount Hawthorn Clinical Psychology)

Lost against Hawks 19-56

Coach comments

  • Although the final score didn’t fall in our favour, this game highlighted our team’s commitment to defence and transition play. We brought intensity from the outset, staying disciplined on the defensive end and forcing multiple turnovers through smart pressure and communication. Our transition game was strong, with players consistently sprinting the floor and creating opportunities off stops.
  • Despite generating good looks and pushing the pace, we struggled to convert on the scoreboard. Shots just didn’t fall, and finishing around the rim proved challenging on the day. However, the effort, energy, and structure were there – and those are the toughest parts to teach.
  • This game showed we’re on the right track defensively and in our running game. With more focus on execution and finishing in the coming weeks, the results will follow. The team should be proud of the hustle and heart shown – we just need to keep building!
  • Zoe, Millie, and Caitlyn formed a fierce defensive trio, relentlessly creating turnovers and holding their own against players twice their size. Their tenacity on both ends of the court stood out, especially when driving hard in challenging scoring situations!!
  • At the same time, Anya and Jemima were a force in the paint—blocking shots with authority and bringing the ball up the court under pressure with calm control and consistency!!
  • Overall, I’m super proud of the girls’ overall improvement from the first time we played Hawks!!

12-3 Girls – Paul Philpott

Won against Perth Redbacks 12-4 34-29

Coach comments

  • Yet another big game against our super sister team with narrow margins at each quarter, and Redbacks 4 leading by 5 points at the third break. After a stern talking to and a rethink by our awesome girls, we used the magic of teamwork to turn adversity into opportunity, taking us to yet another equalising time on at the conclusion of the fourth quarter. Bringing it all home, we remained positive and with our cheer squad’s heart pumping, we found that it was the last key in the bunch that opened the lock as we kept the Redbacks 4 scoreless to achieve the win.
  • Another game of heart and sweat today, with Hazel McElvenny, Katie Cross and Ava Socratous helping our collective efforts by tagging and disarming the Redbacks 4s tallest and most dangerous player, minimising her impact on the game.
  • Our River Sikora took on lessons learnt from last week, fighting for every ball (and won) on many occasions. With that being said, it was collective teamwork by each and every player that was our lighthouse guiding us through turbulent waters today to secure our well-deserved outcome.

12-4 Girls – Dave Power

Lost against Redbacks 3 29-34

Coach comments

  • Another exciting inter-club game with each team winning 2/4 quarters and the game ending in a draw and going into overtime. We had lots of opportunities to score, but Team 3 were able to knock shots down in overtime. Very well contested game from the team 4 girls!
  • Narayana Daley played her best game to date, handling the ball, attacking the basket and making plays for others to score.
  • Ella Jones is showing her strength and resilience now that teams have scouted her from earlier rounds, overcoming traps and heavy defensive coverage.

12-1 Boys – Craig Dropulich (sponsored by Profusion Planning)

Won against Cockburn Cougars 68-56

Coach comments

  • We travelled to Cockburn and had our best offensive game of the season, not relying on one person to score our points, with 4 players ending up in double digits and our players rotating through subs without ever dropping the intensity of the game.
  • Not an easy game as we were challenged by Cockburn and their long range shooting of which they shot at 50% from the 3pt line, but we were able to fend them off from gaining a lead due to our strong defense in the keyway stopping majority of their first shot attempts leading to easy rebounds. The game was a yo-yo of a game where we would get out by some and they would come back, but by the end of the game we ran out the score and came out winning by 12 points.
  • Lance Alfred Dela Vega was a machine and an unstoppable force from both ends of the court, pulling off great moves 1 on 1 to get to the bucket and finding the gaps in their defense to find a quick way to punish his opponents, Lance had great presence and form on defense, letting no player past whilst giving up no fouls.
  • Franklin Etter had a great defensive game on Sunday, with at one stage accumulating 3 steals in a row in the 3rd quarter with a 3 pointer in the 4th to pull us away from Cockburn by 10, sealing the game for us. Keep up the good work Frankie.

12-2 Boys – Dom Pitchen (sponsored by Candy Verse)

Lost against Willetton Tigers 50-81

Coach comments

  • The boys did well in the game, spacing the floor and trying to stay as wide as possible. They did well to find shooters and make the extra pass, and many times during the game, they demonstrated what they are capable of achieving. Defensively, the boys started well and placed heavy pressure on the opposition. Unfortunately, they couldn’t sustain it, but they did well to keep their heads in the game and keep trying. Well done boys.
  • Ioane Ivala-Kotua offensively was strong and did well to make strong drives to the basket, as well as trying to scan the floor for the extra pass. He also did well to space the floor and not clog lanes. Defensively, it was a massive step for Ioane. He was getting up the floor and was doing well to track his player. Well done, Ioane.
  • Santiago Cortes was a strong presence, providing defensive pressure and leading the boys by setting the example for how intensely we should be playing. Offensively, Santi did well to play through contact and to make the right decisions of finding the open man and creating or taking good shots. Good job, Santi.

12-3 Boys – Wayne Dropulich (sponsored by Axis Mineral Service)

Game abandoned

12-4 Boys – Mason Wigmore (sponsored by Sushi Wawa)

Lost against Eastern Suns 50-29

Coach comments

  • An early morning start in the wild weather meant that we came out of the gates slowly, falling 16-2 in the opening minutes of the game.
  • After holding near even for the remainder of the first quarter, we were able to keep pace with the Suns for quarters two, three, and four.
  • Alfie Marshall took a big step, showing some better understanding of positioning for rebounds that led to some easy baskets.
  • Brad Vinac picked up three early fouls, but showed composure to play good defence without fouling for the rest of the game.

14-1 Girls – Helen Pardini (sponsored by Ferguson Corporation)

Won against Mandurah 38-32

Coach comments

  • After a solid start from us, Mandurah worked their way back into the game, and from there, the margin was no more than two made baskets either way. Mandurah grabbed the lead late in the third and took momentum into the fourth. But our girls held strong, continuing to fight hard on the boards and in defence. With scores tied late in the fourth, all the signs were there for the game to go to overtime. But we forced three quick turnovers that resulted in three quick scores – a testament to the girls’ focus and determination under pressure.
  • Darcey Hill had a wonderful game that was reflected in her having the best plus/minus for the game with +13. She was her usual disruptive self on defence, made 2/2 critical free throws in the fourth quarter and led with great energy and drive throughout the game.
  • Molly Nicholas, in her 50th WABL for Redbacks, was also a terrier on defence, with 3 deflections, 6 steals and a block. Her 8 points and 3 assists also ensured we kept the scoreboard ticking over.
  • Siena Mouttet was her usual strong self on the boards with 11 rebounds and displayed a great all-around game with 8 points, three assists and five blocks.

14-2 Girls – Reid Ballantine (sponsored by Access Hire)

Lost against Lakeside 33-59

Coach comments

  • The team should be very proud of our basketball today! A super competitive effort to lose by just 26, considering our last encounter with Lakeside was a 62-point belting. Team energy was up 1000% from last week, and our defensive intensity peaked today. We held Lakeside to a 5-point lead at half time, and we won enough of the ball to have a chance, but the adrenaline-fuelled high-energy defence did translate into mainly rushed shot choices, so we missed some better scoring opportunities. It was still a comeback worth celebrating, though.
  • Our starting guards, Isla, Allegra and Bianca had great defensive chemistry in training and stepped on court setting a high standard which followed throughout all game.
  • Bianca found nice open shots in the first half and scored 11 with great efficiency.
  • Winnie was simply buzzing at times flying up and down the court, she had a great game hunting the steals.

14-3 Girls – Rori Roberts (sponsored by National Geotech)

Lost against Rockingham 44-57

Coach comments

  • The girls came out and put up a good fight. We let the game get away from us in the first half, but that didn’t stop the girls in the second half. Getting back within 8 points early in the third and controlling the game, we then just couldn’t buy a basket, and Rockingham managed to blow the game back out to 19 points.
  • Our defensive pressure really rattled Rockingham for the most part; however, they were just able to capitalise when they were able to break our press.
  • Bella Nevill, in her 50th game, played an outstanding offensive game, hitting two 3s to keep us within the game, ending the game with 16 points. Congratulations on 50 games
  • Bella Tolley did a fantastic job of attacking the ring and reading the defence.
  • Massive congratulations to Izzy Nagamany, who also played her 50th WABL game today.

14-4 Girls – Lucy Dowling (sponsored by Gobsmacked Mouthguards)

Won against Kalamunda Suns 51-34

Coach comments

  • We started slow in the first half and took a while to get into our usual style of play, but once we were going, the girls fought hard to the end.
  • Our fast, strong passes up the court continue to improve in transition, and we are doing well to recognise when the fast break is on, and when it isn’t.
  • Down at half time 1-23, the girls had a statistically amazing 3rd quarter, coming out in front at 47-30.
  • Maeve Whitehouse is always a dominant scorer for us, but this game, it was her defence that was phenomenal. Maeve moved her feet quickly to get in front of her opposition and contained them without reaching, causing countless turnovers.
  • Sophie Nichols stays 100% focused every minute she’s on court. Sophie runs hard at both ends and finishes at the bucket well.
  • Eloise Watts shows up to every game with high energy and is always trying her best. Eloise puts her body on the line defensively and is never afraid to take someone on, especially when getting us rebounds.

14-1 Boys – Adam Gunnis (sponsored by Paragon Corporate Training)

Lost against Joondalup Wolves 46-83

Coach comments

  • We faced a tough challenge against the ladder-leading Wolves, who have dropped just one game all season.
  • As has been the case in other matchups this year, we struggled against teams with greater size and physicality through their guards and wings. This impacted our ability to hold our lines, often resulting in us being bumped off balance, picking up the ball in compromised positions, and being rushed into incorrect decisions.
  • Huge congrats to Nathan Jetajobe, who played his 50th WABL game for Perth Redbacks today.

14-2 Boys – Mitch Jesson (sponsored by E&M Electrical)

Won against South West Slammers 49-32

Coach comments

  • So lovely for the team to get a win after showing improvements in previous weeks, but not getting the W.
  • The boys really focused on ball protection, as we feel like our rebounding and scoring are on par with all other teams, but turnovers were hurting us.
  • We took a +13 rebound count and had one of our lowest turnover counts for the season, and the result was a nice win.
  • Kruz Viesca reminded us why we picked him. He was fast, so sure with the ball and had half the turnovers when compared to the last time we played South West. 5 steals were the cherry on top.
  • Leo Burton did many good things and worked hard on defence. I think the most pleasing play was when Leo, in the last few minutes, was stripped of the ball. He ran hard to pressure the lay-up and get the rebound on the missed shot.
  • Jayden Austin is an unsung hero in our team. He had zero turnovers, and this was due to him backing himself with some great runs through traffic. He is a leader on our team, a constant voice and a more team-oriented person you could not find.

14-3 Boys – Dave Ogden (sponsored by Balance My Books)

Won against East Perth 42-40

Coach comments

  • Away in Morley, the boys had their best win of the season, beating an Eagles side that is 2nd on the ladder. In a game where both teams’ defences were on top, we held the Eagles side (who are the clear number 1 offensive side in our division) to an elite 40 points.
  • The boys worked for each other all over the court and it was a timely lesson of what 5 engaged basketballers can do when everyone buys in on the defensive end and for the first time all season we have won more game than we have lost.
  • Ned T, who has been building coming back from injur,y had a game high 12 points in a game where we needed someone to finish some of our work and also had a game high 8 steals in a game where he was working both ways.
  • Noah O had 10 points and was our equal game high rebounder with 8, and showed off the work he does at the free throw line, hitting 4 for 5, including an important one with 2 seconds to go.
  • Eddie C got some crucial rebounds for us and showed off his passing range, getting his teammate in stride in good positions and came on very late to block the game winning attempt.

14-4 Boys – Ethan Saliacus (sponsored by Meritus Legal)

Won against Mandurah 53-39

Coach comments

  • I was happy with the game from all aspects even with it being such a low scoring first quarter the amount of second chance opportunities and shots and good shots at the basket made it simple all we had to do for the rest of the game was keep that same defensive pressure and get some shots to drop which they did and we went on to have pretty decent lead for most of the game
  • James was excellent in this game. He’s been building, getting better and better each minute he’s on the court, but today his hands were on everything in the passing lane, on rebounds, deflections, getting to help and protecting the basket.
  • Tyler took a hit early, but after he recovered, he was very poised on offence and was getting up being physical on defence, and made some great passes and cuts to the basket that he either scored on or his teammates did
  • Elliot has really found his groove with another great performance. His defensive pressure and want for the ball was great, but his offence was even better with him making great decisions and drives to the basket off his teammates’ cuts that gave him opportunities to score.

16-1 Girls – Nigel Esau (sponsored by F45 Vic Park)

Lost to Eastern Suns 57-61

16-2 Girls – Simon Daff (sponsored by West Coast Reinforcing)

Lost against Willetton Tigers Blue 69 to 59

Coach comments

  • Playing an undefeated Willetton team, we knew we had our work cut out for us. I was so proud of the girls this week. Not only did we compete, we got within 7 points of them going into the last quarter and really had them nervous. It’s a credit to the girls and their improvement over the last 6 weeks, as last time we played them we lost by 30 points.
  • Olivia Birsa was a great spark off the bench. Not only is she becoming one of our better shooters, but she is also being more aggressive off the dribble and making plays. She is really starting to grow as a player.
  • Cara Hayes continues to gain confidence every week. She had really started to slow the game down and make good decisions. She is thriving more now with our pick-and-roll actions.
  • Alessia Wladyka really has cemented herself as our starting point guard. Not only does she control the tempo of the game well and play great defence, but now she is really gaining confidence on the scoreboard board being more aggressive and making plays.

16-3 Girls – Dahney Chamberlain (sponsored by Total Digital)

Won against Perth Redbacks 4 82-81

Coach comments

  • This weekend’s game was an amazing game to watch. It was played well by both Redbacks teams. The girls gave their all, the intensity was high and their passion for the game was evident despite not having their full team. Even though emotions were high the girls never gave up and ended up coming out on top. It was an amazing game to watch and the girls should be extremely proud of how they played.
  • Ella Moffat played an incredibly good game. Her confidence has skyrocketed, and she put up some amazing shots! Her improvement has been remarkable, and it’s been amazing to watch her develop.
  • Ella Fair played an outstanding game, keeping calm and controlling the tempo of the game. Ella’s intensity and hard work paid off, especially in defence!
  • Madison McKibbin racked up 24 points this morning, which was amazing to watch. Her decision-making and confidence with the ball have improved so much. She attacks the basket with confidence and strength, which helps her finish with strength and consistency.

16-4 Girls – Caitlin Rawes (sponsored by NewSmile Dental Centre)

Lost against Redbacks 3 81-82

Coach comments

  • Always a great game against the Redbacks 3s team. Our girls had a very slow start and lacked energy in the first half. We had to play a comeback game, and they did, even getting up by 1 point in the 4th. Unfortunately, we lost momentum in the 4th quarter after bringing the score closer. The girls should be very proud to have only lost by 1 point.
  • Emily Rizkalla showed great defensive improvement.
  • Nora Ostermeyer is easily our loudest girl. We asked her to go out and be loud and she did just that.
  • Huge congrats to Saachi Ti’en, who played her 50th game for Perth Redbacks in this game.

16-1 Boys – Francis Crawshaw (sponsored by Pivot Project Consulting)

Lost against Rockingham Flames 98-100

Coach comments

  • Another close game which went into double overtime.
  • We had the opportunity to take the game this week again, with 12.8 secs left in regular time, things didn’t go our way this time.
  • Our offense was similar to last week, we executed pretty well.
  • Defensively wasn’t our best this week, not playing or trusting the defensive principles, preferably the 1 pass away.
  • Nate Cass had a monster game – 35 points and double figures in rebounding.
  • Riley Barmentloo finished with 26 points, despite not being 100% with the flu
  • And James Galvin, with 17, was good from downtown.

16-2 Boys – Dave Power (sponsored by F45 Vic Park)

Won against Perry Lakes 64-62

Coach comments

  • After a slow start finding our feet on both ends of the floor, we went into the break down 25-29.
  • We steadied the ship in the 3rd to hold our place, then we were able to lift defensively, execute offensively a little more in the 4th. Down 1 with 25 seconds left, we were able to get results from 2 ATOs, plus draw a tech foul to get to the free throw line 3 times, 2 good stops and came away with a thrilling win.
  • Toby Schultz, Tace Rankin and Arman Demir attacking downhill in the 4th made it difficult for the Hawks to stay in front.
  • Toby Summers set the tone in the 4th, played solid minutes, locking down on ball defense and playing with poise offensively.

16-3 Boys – Ash Brian (sponsored by Cogito Psychology)

Won against East Perth 86-75

Coach comments

  • This was a fantastic game where the boys returned to their defensive best. Up against a team that had a clear size advantage, we knew that relentless backcourt pressure would be the key to keeping them out of the paint — and the boys collectively rose to the challenge. Despite the mismatch inside, we battled hard on the boards, with our guards doing a great job of filling the gaps while our bigs were locked in physical box outs. I was really proud of the team’s effort today.
  • Christian Cvitan delivered yet another outstanding performance. It’s hard not to mention him once again after such a dominating triple-double: 23 points, 13 rebounds, 11 assists, 7 deflections, and 5 steals. Simply outstanding.
  • Tex Tierney, in just a handful of games since returning from a broken ankle, produced his best performance of the season — dropping 22 points and bringing great energy, particularly on the offensive glass.
  • Kobe-Jackson Peppin also stepped up with what may have been his most complete game of the year. He brought constant pressure on every pass up the floor, knocked down a few threes, and added 3 deflections and a steal to cap it off.

16-4 Boys – John Revelle (sponsored by Willie Creek Pearls)

Lost to Perry Lakes 54-79

18-1 Girls – Sam Fox (sponsored by Woods Insurance Brokers)

Lost against Cockburn Cougars 55-92

Coach comments

  • The Cougars are the top team in the state and had only lost one game, but at halftime, we were up 34/32. We had responded to the Cougars’ trademark physicality and pressure with our own toughness and execution, making them pay for full-court pressure and getting them in foul trouble by taking on their contact. It was a fantastic effort. Unfortunately, our attitude slipped in the third quarter, and what had been our advantage became our crisis. We were on the back foot, shied away from contact and went away from our system. It was a great lesson in the importance of a competitive attitude, and we can take that forward.
  • Lemafa Tuialli’s defence was outstanding, and her leadership was evident all the way through the highs and lows of this game. In the last part of the fourth, when we were out of contention and gassed, she asked to play on and got an incredible chase-down block that showed incredible commitment and grit.
  • Amina Handule played huge minutes in our first-half dominance. Her energy on boards and D was a highlight, and she got some key buckets.
  • Harriet Woods has been locked in at both ends all season and when we needed it, she lifted the team, knocking down 3 x 3’s and playing high pressure, fast-footed defence all game.

18-2 Girls – Geoff Alger (sponsored by The Loan Company)

Lost to Warwick Senators 54-59

18-3 Girls – Marcia Dowling (sponsored by Packaging Perth)

Lost against Perry Lakes Hawks 44-74

Coach comments

  • The game began with a quick 12 points from the Hawks, where our transition struggled to get to our basket. A quick timeout and reset, and the girls’ persistence showed, ending the quarter 13-12 up.
  • Although we kept on with great determination, the Hawks’ shots seemed to drop easily whereas ours were not so willing! The defence of our girls made the Hawks work hard for their points.
  • Meiling Wang’s speed and drive were excellent, and she kept tough throughout.
  • Chelsea Ferris played good defence in the paint with the reward of some put-backs and good shots
  • Liv Weddikara’s leadership and positivity were once again amazing both on and off court

18-1 Boys – Stephen Charlton (sponsored by Cannington Mazda)

Won against Rockingham 103-69

Coach comments

  • A well-played game by everyone in a good team effort. Another excellent defensive game, and a good spread of scoring
  • Michael Ryan and Ben Galvin led the team in scoring with 17 points each
  • Hamish Gibson was excellent again, leading the team with his defensive drive

18-2 Boys – Nick D’Elia (sponsored by EJL Mechanical)

Lost against Warwick Senators 87-75

Coach comments

  • We came out firing against the top team, jumping to an early 12-point lead with sharp ball movement and relentless transition play. We looked sleek, composed, and in control. But as the game progressed, they shifted into a full-court press that disrupted our rhythm. Turnovers crept in, and we failed to adjust our tempo, which allowed them back into the contest.
  • From that point on, it became a grind—both teams trading runs but neither truly taking control. The margin hovered around five points in either direction for much of the game. Unfortunately, our ball movement stalled and the offense became predictable at times. Poor shot selection led to visible frustration and moments of disconnect.
  • Still, there were standout efforts. Deegan delivered his trademark poster dunk, and Gabe and Zadyn set the tone defensively with tenacious pressure and hustle that lifted the group. Every player contributed in some way, and despite the challenges, the boys dug deep and kept fighting.
  • External factors were working against us, so I’m proud of how the boys held themselves. They showed resilience, grit, and a commitment to the team. The result didn’t fall our way, but the character they displayed speaks volumes.

18-3 Boys – Dan Cartwright (sponsored by Meyer Shircore Architects)

Lost to East Perth 93-96

18-4 Boys – Jess Tiwade (sponsored by Dental Gallery Mt Lawley)

Won against Hills Grey 98-79

Coach comments

  • We set out to take the win against Hills Grey. Hills was a bigger team that challenged us on rebounds and bigs under the rim. The first quarter was low scoring, single digits for both teams, but we were up.
  • In the second quarter, we were in team foul trouble, and Hills took advantage. We regrouped heading intothe 3rd quarter, re-adjusting offence and defence in particular, applying ball pressure and creating turnovers. Momentum started to build, we found our defence intensity and the team commented how it was the best defence played this season. The 4th quarter Will found his 3pt shots landing. The team fed the ball to Will, smashing down 3pts with a total of nine 3s.
  • Fantastic team energy both on and off the court that enabled the win.
  • Tom had a fantastic game. Leadership on the court and on the bench was impressive. His speed and intensity on press defence were what we needed in the second half to enable turnovers. His strong contribution via rebounds, assists and adding to our scoring total, was key to the team win.
  • Mark Sunkar’s performance in ball handling, point guard leadership and ensuring motion offence was set – fantastic! Mark was amazing as he is each week on defence, rebounding and ball pressure.
  • Will Bacci, what an exciting game. Whilst 3s were not dropping in first half, the second half he adjusted and made nine 3s. Total of 41pts for the game, highest scorer this season. Will took advantage of the team defensive strategy that led to turnovers and transition, with quick scoring and ending the game with 3pts on the buzzer. The team getting behind Will’s momentum and enabling amazing teamwork to feed the ball – very exciting to watch.
  • The win was summed up by the team huddle at the end – it showed the respect and team culture. This win against Hills, meant a lot.

21-1 Girls – John Care’

Won against Perry Lakes White 72-40

Coach comments

  • A really great game by the girls this week, with a strong focus on our defensive game and the girls didn’t disappoint. Enough to push, keep rolling and get the win over Perry Lakes, which was a great effort all round.
  • Jenna Jackson had 22 points and showed great leadership in the point roll.
  • Tiana Alger was strong defensively, getting deflections and rebounds on both ends of the court.

20-1 Boys – Andrew Logan (sponsored by IPI Packers)

Won against Perry Lakes 93-86

Coach comments

  • The boys came out firing, getting an early jump on Perry Lakes. We had periods where our defence was at its best, causing turnovers and disrupting Perry Lakes’ offence. In the end, it was a comfortable win. The score doesn’t reflect how well I thought we played – Perry Lakes narrowed the gap in junk time.
  • Hamish Elder has become a menace on defence this season, interrupting lanes and altering shots at the rim with his length. As always, Hamish was an offensive threat as well.
  • Luke Ogden played his best defensive game of the season. He was the beneficiary of his hard running, getting lots of open transition looks.
  • Cooper Deshon continues to find his role as a facilitator, setting up his teammates with great decision making. Not everything went his way offensively, but keeping a cool head, he found his spots and looked like the leader of the team when he was on the floor.

20-2 Boys – John Foley

Lost against Wolves 76 to 87

Coach comments

  • The team came out with great energy and enthusiasm. We moved the ball well on offence, creating some quality shot opportunities. Defensively, our effort was solid all game — we did well to take away driving lanes from the Wolves. However, we struggled at times with our help-side rotations, which they capitalised on.
  • The Wolves led throughout the game, but we had several strong surges that brought us within reach of taking the lead. Unfortunately, we couldn’t convert enough of our shot attempts, leaving too many points on the floor.
  • To the boys’ credit, they never gave up. A late burst of energy saw us score some quick buckets, but in the end, we fell short with a final score of 76–87
  • Alex had a great game – scoring 17 points and leaving everything on the court
  • Xavier had another great all-around game, scoring 10 points, grabbing some great rebounds and caused problems for the opposition with his defence.
