- We played a very contentious game against a Suns team that has challenged us all season. It was a back and forth contest, and unfortunately we were unable to get the job done in overtime.
- Abimanyu Maciazek competed harder than I’ve ever seen him compete. He executed down the stretch, creating two great looks in overtime that unfortunately did not fall, as well as several key defensive possessions in what was his best game all season.
- Bede Whitehouse was an incredible quarterback for us, making some incredible pinpoint passes and rewarding his teammates’ efforts.
- Otis Tierney’s defensive work rate was the best it has been all season. He gave it his all and executed instructions well.
- The whole team played hard, and more importantly, they played for each other. Though it wasn’t the result we wanted, all of our boys should be proud of their efforts.

- We made life very difficult for ourselves with a lacklustre opening quarter. Attack on the basket was lacking, and we were struggling with a change to our defensive structure.
- Bryn’s girls did a great job of handling what we were trying to do to them defensively, and really challenged us to lift in our execution. They exposed a couple of areas for us to work on at practice, which is going to be good for us heading into the semi-finals. A comfortable win where we could try some new things, but also a tough contest against a team capable of holding us accountable, was exactly what we needed.
- Isabella Nagamany did a great job of getting to the line.
- Alexandra Trilling-Kirkwood was really effective for us defensively.

- Whilst it wasn’t the result we all wanted, I couldn’t be more proud of the team and how far they’ve come this season. Our first quarter was outstanding, and to be leading at the break against a team that beat us by nearly 50 the last time we played them was an incredible reward for all the effort the girls have put in throughout the year.
- When you reach a final as a coach, all you can ask is for the team to leave everything out on the court, and that’s exactly what they did. They played their best game of the season when it mattered most. Congratulations to everyone; it was a real pleasure to coach you.
- The entire team was outstanding, bringing the energy and effort for the whole game.
- Thanks to all the parents for their support through the year, it has been greatly appreciated.

- Great win in the 4 vs 5 final where we brought great determination and effort to defend the whole court for a full 32 minutes.
- In a game that I had as a coin flip, the boys were the better side for the majority of the contest and worked hard to create a high tempo end to end type of game.
- Maz T had his best game for the season and was aggressive to beat his defender and gave us some presence under the basket going the other way. He top scored with 19 and was a factor in all aspects of the game. So happy his hard work was on show in a big game and was damaging as that first receiver in our offence.
- Harry F has quietly improved his game all season, and his decision-making and passing range is becoming a real weapon for us. We used him in a slightly different role, and it brought the best out of the team, and he influenced the quicker tempo behind the ball we have been building all year.
- Victor M had a massive 2nd half and has become my 3rd quarter specialist and shows great leadership in that role and attacks the basket with real intent and is such an impactful defender. He just gets his job done with no fuss and is a great leader of our team.
- Eli D does what he does and hits a couple of 3s. I was a little worried our bottom age star was struggling against the older bodies, but he dug in deep, gave the team a spark offensively when we needed it and had a couple of huge defensive efforts against the opposition big when we went small ball and showed his class in a final.

- The game played out as we had hoped, getting off to a solid scoring start, holding our opposition to 3 points for the quarter. Our half-court defence and full court defensive pressure was working as well as it has all year, conceding the least points of all the quarter finals in our division. It was pleasing to see all players play at a finals intensity, often longer periods of time for some and less for others.
- Rintaro Haginiwa and Julian Morris were the two best big-men out on the court today, and showed with their rebounding and defensive positioning. They showed that dominant big men help play games on your terms, and create constant headaches for opposition teams.
- Elijah Angelo Mancini was offensively solid for us again this week, and finished well around the basket as he took his chances and drew easy fouls and transition buckets.
- Talin McCullough shut down the opposition’s best player, causing the opposition to play a style of basketball they did not know well, allowing for us to force easy turnovers and get out the other end to score.

- It was a physical and competitive game from tip-off, and the boys did a fantastic job offensively, spacing the floor, creating opportunities for each other, and capitalising on second-chance opportunities. Defensively, the boys worked hard, switched well, and showed great physicality without giving away unnecessary fouls.
- The final result was unfortunate and ultimately out of our control, but the boys gave everything they had and should hold their heads high. They can be incredibly proud of their effort, commitment, and the way they competed right until the final whistle.
- Well done, boys, and congratulations on a fantastic season!
- Levi did a fantastic job during the game, showing great awareness when creating scoring opportunities for himself and his teammates. He worked well with others and made positive contributions throughout the game. Defensively, Levi applied strong pressure on the ball and showed a great level of effort. He continued to work hard and set a positive example for his teammates. Levi should be very proud of his performance and the effort he displayed
- Ty showed excellent effort during the game and did a great job finding opportunities to score while also supporting his teammates. He demonstrated good teamwork and was always looking for ways to contribute. Ty worked hard in defence, putting pressure on the ball and making it difficult for the opposition. His determination helped set a strong tone for the game. He can be very proud of the effort he put in.

- Great to claim the QF win on a team that beat us twice in the season! We stepped on court with great pre-game energy and played with confidence today.
- Building a lead over three quarters, we then wobbled a little early in Q4, letting Flames take a 10-2, but we steadied and flexed back at them, closing out the game with our own 10-2 run.
- Alyssa Rullo was a standout today; she energised the team in Q1, shooting the ball very neatly on her way to 10 points very efficiently, and backing it up with hard and hustle defence all game.
- Olivia Birsa had a strong game defensively and when she was on court owned the left wing and keyway, claiming strong contested rebounds.
- Lauren Jones was also strong in the paint, had a glorious contested layup and iced the ‘and 1’ bonus and then leapt at a huge intercept steal at a critical moment to steal momentum off the Flames.

- The game was tight early on with a couple of big 3s from Isla making an early statement, but at quarter time Slammers had taken more of their chances than we had to open up a 5-point lead.
- Across the second and third quarters, the game stayed within a couple of buckets of that margin as our defensive intensity ramped up and our bench support from our team got loud and positive, but we just weren’t able to consistently make them pay on the scoreboard. Slammers eventually retreated into their zone as our constant run began to cause more and more problems.
- The game remained an arm wrestle and closely fought right through to the end. Despite our players throwing everything they had at them and managing to close to 1 point in the fourth quarter, Slammers always found a way to tick the scoreboard over and eventually closed out the game.
- Disappointed for our season to end when it did, we finished the game knowing we had given everything we had.

- In a game where the lead changed nine times and neither team ever led by more than six, we pulled off our best win of the season, a one‑point thriller decided in the dying seconds. It was one of those games where every possession mattered, and the girls did a fantastic job staying composed right to the end. Post‑game, everyone was buzzing, parents included.
- In what I’d guess is the biggest moment of her basketball journey so far, Bella Tolley stepped up and hit a tough, contested layup through the key with 30 seconds left to put us up by one. It wasn’t her only contribution; she was locked in all game, finishing with 12 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 deflections and 3 steals.
- Jana Djurasovic had her best game of the season, showing real variety in her offensive decisions and finishing strongly around the basket. She closed out with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 3 deflections and a steal.
- We also had huge contributions in pressure moments from Zoraya Laurenson, Lily Yin, and Allegra Care. When we needed someone to score, they delivered. Zoraya hit two big shots at the end of the half to bring us back to within one, Lily spun through the keyway for a crafty finish to keep us right in it, and Allegra buried a late three when momentum was slipping. Zoraya finished with 6 points and 5 rebounds, Lily added 4 points and 7 rebounds, and Allegra chipped in with 4 points and 4 rebounds.

- After getting back to our best last week, I had a lot of confidence in the girls to come out hard this week and set the tone. We led from start to finish with a very dominant 2nd quarter to get us a nice buffer at halftime. All the girls hit the scoreboard again, which just shows how deep our team is this year.
- Cherie Zak continues her very consistent season. Her defence and quick hands has disrupted a lot of opposition players this year. It has generated a lot of fast break points that have allowed her to be a regular on the score sheet.
- Our captain Alice Lawrence had another dominant game. She was super aggressive in the 2nd quarter, which really gave us confidence to push on to a big lead. She regularly gets to the bucket and has been rewarded with a lot of free throw attempts the last 2 weeks.
- Paige Ogden was back to her best this week. Her ability to get pain touches and use her footwork to finish helped her to 11 points in this game.

- The girls absolutely exploded out of the top off and we led the game for most of the first half. Suns eventually worked out ways through our defensive work and started to crawl back.
- The Redbacks girls were so driven as a team to get “out ball” back and truly think about finishing. This game had our best team performance ever and for most, their personal best game too.
- As we reached the siren, we were at 50-50. Over time followed, and here the Suns’ shooting prowess really gave them the edge. To the last second, our girls fought with skill, style, flair, teamanship and great basketball.

- We had played Binar three times this season, winning on every occasion, but the total points margin for those three games was 10 points. In other words, we had been evenly matched in every one of those games, and we knew this final would be another close encounter.
- Again, this game went to the wire, but unfortunately for us, Binar were too strong on the day. They set out a game plan of stopping some of our key players and constantly attacking the key way on the offensive end, which we were unable to contain.
- The boys tried valiantly, but it was not to be. Each and every one of the team, including our train ons have worked enormously hard this season, and they should all be enormously proud of themselves.
- As has been the case for most of the season, it was Cuba Brian and Jack Ryder who did the bulk of the scoring for us, on what was a hot day. They encountered close checking from the opposition but still managed to keep us in the game right until the end.
- All of the boys tried their best on a day that just wasn’t meant to be.
