Bowen joins Redbacks SBL in 2019

The Texture WA Perth Redbacks are excited to announce that club junior and Australian junior representative Kyle Bowen will be suiting up during the 2019 SBL season.

Bowen, a current Wildcats Development player, will play during the 2019 SBL season before heading off to St Mary’s to play NCAA Division 1 basketball.

A 2017 SBL Championship-winning player, a BA Centre of Excellence Graduate Bowen will be back in red where it all began in 2019 and Head Coach Nik Lackovic couldn’t be happier.

“Having been apart of Kyles development from a young age and seeing first hand the dedication and sacrifices he’s implemented to establish himself as one of the best young players in our country gives us great pride in having him suit up this season before he heads off to St Mary’s.”

“Kyle has an incredible motor and work rate at both ends of the floor and will provide us with a player that will be difficult to defend in multiple positions on the floor.”

Bowen has just today been announced in the Australian Emus Under 19 FIBA World Cup to be held in Greece from June 29 – July 7.

The Redbacks welcome Kyle back home and are excited to see him playing with us once again.

Come catch Kyle and the Redbacks in action on Saturday 16 March at Belmont Oasis in our Len Vlahov Memoria Game against the Warwick Senators. Tip-off is 6pm (WSBL) and 8pm (MSBL).
