Weekly WABL Wrap – Round 2 – 3 May 2026

12-1 Girls – Olivia Weddikara (sponsored by Visa4You Migration Agency)

Lost against Senators 63-17

Coach comments

  • The scoreboard does not at all represent how well the girls played on Sunday, they never dropped their heads and kept pushing the whole game.
  • I am so beyond proud of the girls mentality this week! We will be back stronger than ever next week.
  • Cairee Olowoyo continues to impress week after week, with her confidence already growing significantly. She consistently impacts the game as a leader both on and off the court.
  • Amelia Smith’s focus on Sunday was great, making a strong impact on both ends of the floor. So proud of her!

12-2 Girls – Dave Power (sponsored by RocketDNA)

Won against East Perth 22-20

Coach comments

  • The first 3/4 the game was fairly even with both teams getting up and down the floor.
  • We were playing good defence, protecting the paint and taking a lot of good shot opportunities.
  • Even though East Perth were going into the fourth with a six point lead, our girls were locked in for the fourth quarter and everyone stepped up.
  • We were disruptive on defence and attacked the basket and we were able to get a lead that despite a last run from East Perth they weren’t able to catch us. It was a really good effort from every player.
  • Wanda Power’s defence on the ball and rotating to help played a big part in us holding the scoreboard down buying time while we found our shooting touch.
  • In the 4th Quarter Myla Small tied the game from our first possession and kept her confidence up to give us a lead a couple of minutes later with another good 45 drive.
  • Claire McKern became disruptive on defence in the middle third of the floor and attacked the basket aggressively, scoring back-to-back baskets that gave us the buffer we needed to close out the game.

12-3 Girls – Paul Philpott (sponsored byInternational Commissioning Solutions Group Pty Ltd)

Won against Hills Raiders 13-48

Coach comments

  • Outstanding game today (Whoop Whoop), with our Redback girls firing straight from tip off. We led at every quarter, keeping Hills Raiders scoreless in the second.
  • Today was a clear demonstration by all players in wanting that possession more than the opposing team.
  • In the first & final quarters we intercepted numerous inbound attempts by the Hills Raiders in our back court and moved these quickly to continually increase our tally and produce a glossy finish.
  • Today we learnt as a cohesive team that nothing was given, and everything was earnt.
  • Ruby Rath was lightning in a bottle today with her fierce chasing down our opponents and putting a few on our board.
  • Similarly, Tliyah Gordon worked incredibly hard at both ends of the court and despite receiving her fifth foul in the last quarter managed to add to our exceptional scoreboard performance.
  • Ada Gliddon showed us all what to expect from her this season with her ability to find the right space at the right time and challenge our opposition into frustration.

12-4 Girls – Indiana Ballantine (sponsored by Bruining Partners and John Hughes Ford)

Won against Suns 48-14

Coach comments

  • The girls really brought the energy to round 2 against the Eastern Suns.
  • They demonstrated their skills and preseason improvement perfectly.
  • Layla dominated in the keyway pulling down rebounds and showing significant improvement in confidence. I can’t wait to see her grow throughout the season.
  • Harriet had an incredible game creating amazing opportunities to score through her constant efforts. Harriet also showed great awareness by predicting and intercepting passes to help her team create more chances to score.
  • Eva showed impressive ability and understanding of the game even after joining the team later in the preseason, her ability to mould with the team and form relationships with the girls is something she should be proud of.

12-1 Boys – Wayne Dropulich (sponsored by SLS Advisory)

Lost against Willetton 107-45

Coach comments

  • This was a really challenging game against a Willetton side that came out with great intensity and execution early. We were slow to get going in the first quarter but to the boys’ credit we settled into the game and found some rhythm offensively through Cayden, Hudson and Jesse to stay within reach.
  • Unfortunately, a tough second quarter where Willetton capitalised on turnovers and went on multiple scoring runs created a significant gap heading into halftime.
  • The second half was about resilience, and while we continued to compete and had moments where we executed well, particularly with Alex, Hudson and others attacking the basket, we struggled to contain their transition play and consistent scoring across the floor.
  • While the result wasn’t what we wanted, there are clear lessons around defensive urgency, transition coverage, and valuing possession, and I was pleased that the group continued to compete right through to the final whistle.
  • Hudson McClintock contributed solidly on both ends of the floor, finishing with 10 points and providing a consistent scoring option for the team. Defensively, he was active and disruptive with 3 steals, showing good anticipation and effort throughout the game.
  • Alby O’Brien made a strong impact on the glass, pulling down a team-high 8 rebounds and giving us important second-chance opportunities. He continues to develop as a big man, showing growing confidence and presence around the basket.

12-2 Boys – Adam Gunnis (sponsored by KPS BUILDING GROUP and PlanWA)

Won against Cougars 55-49

Coach comments

  • A hard-fought win over a determined Cockburn side, with the boys increasingly showing real maturity in their ball movement and a genuine joy in sharing the ball to create the best shot each possession.
  • Defensively, they again moved well with the ball and produced a much-improved effort in containing the drive.

12-3 Boys – Mason Wigmore (sponsored by Victory Technologies Pty Ltd and Stanley Ag WA)

Lost against Suns 47-56

12-4 Boys – Charlize Nicolaou (sponsored by Float Docks)

Won against Hills Raiders 67-35

Coach comments

  • The Raiders came out strong and put pressure on us early, but the boys really locked in and took control, applying consistent pressure for the rest of the game.
  • With the support of a loud and energetic bench and parents, the team played exceptionally well and secured the win, finishing with a score that had the boys celebrating with the “6-7” meme!
  • Harlan had a phenomenal game! Despite being new to the team, he made an immediate impact, dominating not only in scoring but also with his strong defensive presence, forcing turnovers and blocking shots in the key!
  • Levi also delivered an outstanding performance, playing like an NBA pro! He attacked the paint with confidence, using smart moves and applying constant pressure on the ball, which kept the opposition on edge! He reminded us of LeBron with the way he was playing.
  • Teo was incredible defensively, taking on players much bigger than him and still coming out on top! His speed and ability to force turnovers made a huge difference throughout the game.
  • Ari had a brilliant all-round game, popping up everywhere when it mattered most!  He contributed by scoring consistently, setting up teammates with great assists, and playing strong defence.

12-5 Boys – Craig Dropulich (sponsored by Ganjing World)

Lost against Hawks 43-55

Coach comments

  • A really good effort this week against a bigger team. A lot of the things we are working on at training are coming out in games and it shows we have the ability to learn and adapt against the teams we come across.
  • Our pressure was very good all day and our scoring was great, just getting unlucky in the rebounding competition to lose out on some easy stops and giving the other team some extra chances which they took and shot quite well.
  • Our turnovers were a lot fewer this week, and shows that we are learning to work as a team, communicating and moving the ball around instead of working ourselves into corners.
  • Pleased to see our 5-out offense working really well as it led to lots of easy drives for baskets and free throws which we shot quite well.
  • Nice to be within a point at half time, which we wish hadn’t had come there as we were on an amazing roll closing out the half on a 10-4 run, with the 10 points coming unanswered.
  • The second half we tried really hard and at the end of the day the boys should be really happy with their second effort at WABL.
  • Thomas Price was let loose this week, dribbling up the floor he looked unable to be stopped, putting up some great shots and getting the ball to open spaces. He was the quickest kid out there and showed it by running rings around the opposition on offense and on defense.
  • Christian Pfister used his speed well to close down players defensively and was able to adapt really well to new instructions as he took his one on ones and was able to score 4 points from finding the opening with his amazing mid range shot.

14-1 Girls – Rori Roberts (sponsored by National Geotech)

Won against Willetton 42-32

Coach comments

  • A cold slow start to the game saw us behind early but still able to keep up with a fast Willetton team and be down 2 at the half.
  • We came out hot in the second half, had a 17-7 3rd quarter and from there we controlled the game to the end.
  • Rose Bacci did an excellent job guarding Willetton main point guard/scoring. Rose made her super uncomfortable being the ball up the court. Rose also added 9 points.
  • Elsey Lohman White pulled down some important rebounds late in the game and made some amazing decisions on the offensive end.

14-2 Girls – Whitney Perret (sponsored by Accelerate Blue)

Won against Eagles 55-54

Coach comments

  • We were in control for most of the game, leading by four points for much of it.
  • The girls did much better bringing the ball up.
  • Charlee Ashworth was our top scorer with 16 points. She went after rebounds and did well walling up defensively.
  • Eva Rodic barely had a sub but still had plenty in the tank. She was our second top scorer and was also crucial on the boards.

14-3 Girls – Matt Bailey (sponsored by Crothers Pty Ltd)

Won against Raiders 72-21

Coach comments

  • We were clearly the better team over the course of the game.
  • The girls responded tremendously in the third, putting together the best quarter I’ve seen them play. The aggression and intensity were great to see.
  • Zara Flynn has largely flown under the radar to this point, never leading us in any stat categories or showing up in highlight reels, but she’s a common factor in multiple of our best five-player units over the course of our first two games.
  • Sophie Nichols’s willingness to use her weak hand continues to put her in good positions offensively, and her defensive positioning off-ball was the best in the team on the weekend.

14-4 Girls – Bryn Arnold (sponsored by Mount Hawthorn Clinical Psychology)

Won against Rockingham 56-18

Coach comments

  • After a tight first five minutes, the team found their groove and played some very good basketball for the remainder of the game.
  • The most pleasing part was holding the opposition to just 2 points in the 2nd quarter. Outstanding all round team effort.
  • Jess Beacham was very good on both sides of the ball. Finishing as the team’s leading scorer.
  • Zoe Kut showed good poise and decision making with the ball in hand.

14-1 Boys – Dave Ogden (sponsored by Global Cabling)

Won against Lakeside 59-57

Coach comments

  • The boys travelled away, and after the forfeit last week it was our first game of the season. It was a competitive first quarter, but we lost structure for a few minutes late in the second quarter and went into half-time nine points down.
  • To their credit, playing with only eight due to injury and managing individual fouls, the boys lifted in the third quarter and fought their way back into the game through strong defensive effort. They also adapted well to the adjustments made at half-time.
  • In a hard-fought last quarter, we managed to win and the group showed real determination to overcome the challenges in front of them. We’ll be better for the experience and the effort put in.
  • James P vs Lakeside Lighting is what it felt like for a few minutes in the 3rd quarter. Absolutely lifted when his team (and coach) needed him and led the boys back into the game and showed his influence on the group. His two-way effort was immense and set an example for everyone in the group.
  • Victor M led the team with 16 points and also had a big second half. He was productive in the defensive press we implemented at half-time, showing quick hands, finishing well in transition, and playing hard for team success.
  • Harrison P made his WABL debut, scoring his first points for the club. He showed he has the tools to become an influential two-way player as the season progresses.
  • Ollie L made his Redbacks debut and was busy on the board all day and led the team with 9.

14-2 Boys – Craig Dropulich (sponsored by M & T Gomm Pty Ltd ATF Gomm Family Trust T/As Customised Metal Works)

Lost against Mandurah Magic 60-67

Coach comments

  • A strong learning game for us. We started well, but a stretch of turnovers allowed the opposition to build a lead. To the team’s credit, the fight and resilience was there, we worked our way back from 19 points down to within 1 late in the third quarter to ultimately come short by 7.
  • Rintaro Haginiwa had a great defensive game, holding off a much bigger and older opponent on the defensive end as he was filling in for our biggest player who was out on the day. He played his role well, and was still able to give the opposition trouble on offense.
  • Talin McCullough had a great all-round game, scoring 17 points and also playing amazing pressure defense. His 3-point shooting was great to see but his finishing around the ring was what we needed on the day. Always works hard and gives all he has out there on the court. Well done Talin.

14-3 Boys – Dom Pitchen (sponsored by Candy Verse)

Lost against East Perth 44-58

Coach comments

  • The game started a little slowly. We were creating good looks but weren’t converting.
  • In the second half, the energy lifted. The boys moved the ball quickly and efficiently, and improved defensive communication, leading to stops and allowing us to build momentum on the offensive end but unfortunately we couldn’t close the gap in time.
  • Overall, the game showed plenty of positive signs of what the boys are capable of and how we want to play this season.
  • Zac Nguyen was a strong defensive presence who helped shift momentum at key moments. His effort on the boards continues to be a real strength for the team and gives us stability in defensive and contested rebounding. Offensively, he’s spacing the floor well, making good decisions, and taking high-quality shots within the flow of the game.
  • James Holzheimer was a strong interior presence, consistently disrupting shots and protecting the paint. His physicality and intensity on the boards created multiple second-chance opportunities for the team, giving us valuable extra possessions. He competed hard all game and set the tone inside with his effort and toughness.

14-4 Boys – Caitlin Rawes (sponsored by Crothers Pty Ltd)

Lost against Binar 57-38

Coach comments

  • Definitely a game we could have won and it will be a good matchup next time we play them.
  • The boys did well to stay composed and compete through a tough game, both physically and with some external factors in play.
  • Solid rebounding and attempts to put the ball back up by Tommy.
  • Levi had excellent defensive hustle and energy throughout.

16-1 Girls – Nigel Esau (sponsored by Xceed Real Estate)

Lost against Slammers 53-66

16-2 Girls – Reid Ballantine (sponsored by Access Hire)

Won against Slammers 87-85

Coach comments

  • Another free flowing, fast running, and high scoring game, and after some huge momentum swings all the way through the game we just held on to sneak the win.
  • Really happy with our ability to score, and our fast transition passing has been crisp.
  • Georgie Clark played with great consistency across four quarters and when the Slammers key player took a rest Georgie really switched it on attacking the keyway and making them pay on her way to 29 points.
  • Harper Grace took on the defensive challenge against an otherwise dominant Slammers big and did well to contain her throughout the game.
  • Olivia Birsa fought hard for defensive boards and reliably found quick and safe outlet passes that gave us a head start in transition.
  • Maia Leckey had a fast and physical game and showed some nice shooting finesse with a cheeky 11 points.
  • Sasha Kuan was smooth with the ball, floated up some soft touch buckets, but also created some great offence for the team.

16-3 Girls – Geoff Alger (sponsored by Habitat Finance)

Lost against Senators 43-47

Coach comments

  • We started this game a little shaky as we adjusted to dealing with the defensive pressure that our opponents brought but the whole group lifted and turned this game into a really closely fought contest.
  • Was very proud of the players’ ability to adjust to the way the game was being played and the determination with which they played right to the end.
  • The defensive effort was very impressive and got better as the game went on.
  • The comeback was on late in the fourth, but ultimately it wasn’t to be; with just a little more polish finishing under pressure, this result could easily have gone the other way.
  • Isla Cowman had another great game. Shooting and creating well and really inspiring team mates with strong defensive efforts throughout.
  • Freya Whitehouse was likewise instrumental at both ends of the floor, scoring, defending and rebounding well throughout the game.
  • Audrey Toussaint showed incredible fitness to run hard all game. Covered the floor really well to always be in position to help the team. In a game with a lot of pressure and turnovers, her composure and decision making were valuable.

16-4 Girls – Ashley Brian (sponsored by Realth Property Group)

Won against Kalamunda 45-33

Coach comments

  • For the second week in a row, ball pressure was the story of the game. When we arrived, the girls were a little intimidated by the height difference between the teams, but they locked in on the plan and brought constant pressure on the ball. That resulted in 46 turnovers for the other team and 25 points to us off turnovers.
  • The game stayed within a few points either way for the first three quarters, but we broke away early in the fourth with a flurry of steals.
  • Once again, everyone on the team contributed. It’s been a joy to see how quickly everyone is growing within our system.
  • Standout performers on the day were Bella Tolley, who delivered an impressive stat line of 11 points, 9 rebounds, 9 deflections and 8 steals.
  • Darcy Brian had 5 points, 4 deflections and 2 steals, most of which came during that fourth-quarter flurry.
  • Jana Djurasovic also pulled down a strong 9 rebounds to go with her 4 points, including another three-pointer early in the game to get the crowd up and about, just like last week.

16-1 Boys – Cameron Redhead (sponsored by Geist Consulting)

Won against Slammers 85-78

Coach comments

  • A really strong bounce back for our group after last week.
  • The boys came out firing early, setting a good defensive template that allowed us to generate stops and get our running game going, leading by 20 points throughout the game.
  • Slammers made a push in the last quarter, but a really mature performance saw the Redbacks boys weather the storm and come out with their first win for the season!
  • Nate Cass led from the front again with 27pts
  • Matthew Lucano in his 100th game provided a massive defensive effort on the opposition’s best player, coming up with a handful of steals and getting on the end of some of his hard work with 13pts of his own. Congratulations on a great 100th game!

16-2 Boys – Francis Crawshaw (sponsored by F45 Victoria Park)

Lost against Cougars 88-66

16-3 Boys –Vance Karimi (sponsored by School Bus Logistics Pty Ltd)

Won against Lakeside 68-53

Coach comments

  • The boys had a good win this week. They choo choo chewed the three-quarter court press, were committed in defence and made good shot selections.
  • The energy on the bench was great all game, not just when they were sinking their 3s. The boys did really well in transition defence, locked in and trailed every screen to fight through it, boxed out hard and fought to hold the box out in the paint.
  • When they found their momentum mid-way through the second quarter and reigned in the fouls, they remained focussed and connected to pull away.
  • Eoin played a great game. He was strong in the half court defence, read the back-door cuts, attacked the gaps and pick-n-roll finishes.
  • Tom was strong on the defensive and offensive boards. We found pace in transition with his quick escape dribbles and smart kick aheads.
  • Kruz didn’t give an inch in defence. His balance, footwork and core strength denied their most athletic ball handler and he penetrated the paint for inside finishes.
  • Kai had a great defensive game. He played big, hit and boxed out well and made some great kick-ahead passes for easy buckets.

16-4 Boys – Oliver March (sponsored by Rangecon)

Lost against Wolves 69-60

18-1 Girls – Shaun Bennison (sponsored by Strike Drilling)

Lost against Cougars 65-90

Coach comments

  • We struggled to find the discipline we’re aiming for today.
  • We didn’t always finish the possession, which led to too many second-chance points for the opposition.
  • Gabby impressed again with 23 points and continues to stretch the floor out to the three-point line.
  • Annabelle fought hard on the defensive end, creating turnovers that led to fast-break points.

18-2 Girls – Simon Daff (sponsored by West Coast Reinforcing)

Won against Wolves 81-83

Coach comments

  • Very proud of the girls this week. We set the tone early, led from start to finish, and maintained our intensity across all four quarters.
  • It was a true team performance, with five players finishing in double figures, a great reflection of how well they share the ball and play for each other.
  • We controlled the rebounds and significantly reduced our turnovers, two key areas we targeted for improvement this week, and it showed in our performance.
  • Lottie Ballentine had a great game and a big presence inside. Not only did she top score with 16 points but was huge on the boards and a great defensive presence in the keyway.
  • Arabella Kahl was also huge for us this week. In a game we wanted our bigs to play with a lot of confidence; Arabella showed that today. Her rebounding and hustle was a highlight and was great on help defence.
  • Halle Griffiths contributed strongly at both ends of the floor. She plays strong physical defence and was also rewarded with 3 big 3s for the game.

18-3 Girls – Marcia Dowling (sponsored by PWS Group and John Hughes Ford)

Lost against Cougars 48-67

Coach comments

  • We started the game hit by a well-executed, aggressive, intense press.
  • After consistently struggling to move the ball up court, the girls’ flexibility and teamwork kicked in and they changed the play and off we went.
  • Intensity is needed through four full quarters and I’m glad the team has embraced our fitness push throughout training.
  • Running only 7 players for the first few games means a lot of intense work is required. To have convincingly won the second and fourth quarters shows how hard these girls are working. It demonstrates the potential we have to keep improving and learning each week. Big steps forward in one week.
  • Paige Wigmore is so flexible within the team as well as a leader. Her tenacity and persistence under the basket is solid; as is her ability to run the court and see great passes and shots.
  • Maddy Mckibbin became un-passable in the first quarter, stealing the ball many times throughout the game and applying intense 1v1 defence.
  • Emily Rizkalla played a great game with awesome defence – shutting down one of their main shooters and hitting some great shot choices too.

18-4 Girls – Mark Wigmore (sponsored by PWS Group and John Hughes Ford)

Lost against Flames 81-36

18-1 Boys – Adam Gunnis (sponsored by IML Group and John Hughes Ford)

Won against Slammers 147-98

Coach comments

  • Offensively, this was close to a complete performance. We were able to consistently generate high-quality scoring opportunities, regardless of the adjustments made by Slammers. The boys shared the ball effectively, creating early transition points and finding open shots in the half court.
  • Defensively, we remain a work in progress. Our current focus is on sustaining effort and execution for entire possessions (the full 24 seconds). Due to the fast pace we play offensively, games involve a higher number of possessions than a typical 40-minute match, which places additional demands on our defensive consistency.
  • Overall, it was a strong team performance, with all players contributing positively.
  • Riley BARMENTLOO – 46 points.
  • Hunter METTAM – 8 3s made.

18-2 Boys – Dan Cartwright (sponsored by Aviso WA Insurance Brokers and Signifi Media Pty Ltd)

Won against Flames 72-95

18-3 Boys – Helen Pardini (sponsored by OCR Projects)

Lost against Willetton 78-106

Coach comments

  • We knew this would be a tough contest coming up against a strong Willetton side who were coming off a dominant win. We found ourselves in foul trouble early, which disrupted our flow and made it difficult to establish consistency.
  • To the group’s credit, they regrouped and responded well after quarter time. We lifted our intensity in the second quarter and were able to claw our way back into the game.
  • I was really pleased with how the boys handled some challenging moments throughout the game. There were times where things didn’t go our way, but they stayed composed, stuck together, and continued to compete. That resilience and ability to remain focused is a big positive we can take out of this game.
  • Tace Rankin was outstanding, showing great composure and the ability to create and finish under heavy defensive pressure, finishing with an impressive 33 points.
  • Llafton Muller continues to set the standard for us with his consistency and reliability. Week in and week out, he leads by example and provides a steady presence for the group on both ends of the floor.

18-4 Boys – Jess Tiwade (sponsored by Retriever Sound Events Dj.)

Lost against Lakeside 103-99

Coach comments

  • Heading into Game 2 we knew Lakeside Team 3 would be a tough but good matchup. We started strongly, took the lead in Q1, and held them to just 2 points from their top scorer through our defensive plan.
  • Q2 was similar as we maintained the lead, though early foul trouble put pressure on us.
  • In Q3 we moved to zone and worked hard offensively to stay in front. We held the lead deep into the last few minutes, but late fouls led to transition scores and Lakeside edged ahead to win by 4. Exciting game throughout.
  • Dom Alvaro had a fantastic game both on offence and a defence. He took opportunities to attack the basket and confidence showed in his scoring. Always impressed how dedicated, wanting to improve every week and amazing teamwork player.
  • Daniel Samura took on our defensive challenge, limiting their top scorer early. His quickness on court, offensive and defensive contribution was key to the success of the game.
  • Tyson Pascoe was solid throughout, providing key rebounds and finishing opportunities, continuing to improve each week with his athleticism.
  • Kimzy led the team even right before the game started. Encouraging his team, seeing the floor is his incredible ability to set up his team mates. Can’t wait to see how he leads to the team this season.

21 Girls – Shaun Bennison (sponsored by Freeman Chiropractic)

Won against Hawks 69-66

Coach comments

  • Started well, but we fell into playing at the opposition’s level.
  • There are some clear areas we can tighten up defensively, particularly in getting more consistent stops and being better organised in transition.
  • Credit to the girls, they did well to stay composed down the stretch and secure the win.
  • Blaise was solid today, especially returning to the court after a hard hit. She showed aggression on offence and strong defence to create stops.
  • Theory was a standout from the three-point line and is starting to understand spacing and a ready-to-shoot mentality.
  • Matilda was also great on the defensive end, which translated into her scoring ability on offence. Fouling out wasn’t ideal, but she is starting to show her capability.

20-1 Boys – John Foley (sponsored by Bodytune Massage and Sports Therapies)

Won against Perth Redbacks U20-2

Coach comments

  • The derby began with strong intensity from both sides, with us taking an early first-quarter lead. Team 2 fought back well, but from the second quarter onwards we maintained control and held our advantage.
  • The group stayed disciplined to the game plan and showed improvement on key areas identified from the previous week.
  • Overall, a solid performance with plenty of positives, while still highlighting areas we’ll continue to develop as a team.
  • Ben Galvin led the way this week with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
  • David Moore also had a strong outing, finishing with 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 steals.
  • Aidan Foley contributed with 12 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

20-2  Boys – Ofir Ben Dror (sponsored by Meyer Shircore Architects)

Lost against Perth Redbacks U20-1

Coach comments

  • We came against our club’s no. 1 team – a very tall, athletic, talented team that are looking like the league’s favourites at this stage. Nevertheless, our boys were not down and out at any of the quarters and after a reality check in the first, we got more competitive as the game progressed, losing quarters by smaller margins each quarter.
  • Hamish Gibson put his best foot forward from the get go with a strong display on defense, locking up players and causing some important turnovers all the way through.
  • Jack Ryder was slushing through the opponent defence, driving to the basket and scoring- putting offensive pressure on the opposition.
